What a wonderful week it has been in Oak Class! The children have settled beautifully into school and are becoming more confident each day.
We have enjoyed lots of activities this week, from building castles in the outside area to joining the rest of the school for assembly. We have enjoyed listening to our friends talking about their about me bags and asking them questions to find out more.
The children in Oak Class showed great resilience and sportsmanship. We are extremely proud of them. Well done !
Well done all the Oaklings for their superb performance at the annual class assembly! The children memorised their lines and projected their voices. We are very proud of you!
We enjoyed our mini-beast hunt in the woods! We made bug hotels for our mini-beasts.
PC Paul visited us and told us about his job. We also learnt more about road safety, water safety and internet safety.
We carried out a survey to find out if we were an eco-friendly school.
These are the following things we noted.
Posters to remind everyone to recycle and conserve energy and water.
Recycling bins for rubbish and food waste.
Plastic plant pots are reused.
Benches made out of recycled plastic waste.
Air source heat pump to produce under-floor heating.
Water from the rainwater harvester tank used for flushing toilets.
Tyres used as planting beds.
A wooden log used a bicycle rack. We concluded that we are an eco-friendly school!
