Mrs Bamford, Emma’s mummy visited us this afternoon and gave a talk about Cyprus. Emma and her family used to live in Cyprus.
We also tasted warm pitta bread and grilled Halumi cheese. Yummy!
Mrs Ryan talked to us about her travels to India. She brought in some artefacts from India to show us.
We completed the wheel challenge today and collected money for Sport Aid. Some of us did it on bikes, others did it on scooters and a few of us walked or ran the challenge. We had a lot of fun!
We learnt all about St Patrick’s Day from one of the children.
We learnt all about Easter and how people celebrate this event in other countries. We also enjoyed tasting hotcross buns.

Mrs Lichter visited us it his morning and spoke to us about Serbia, the country where she was born. We looked at a PowerPoint presentation all about Serbia. We had a go at writing our names in Cyrillic.
Matti Hemmings, Professional BMX Flatland Rider and Guiness World Record Holder visited us today.
He performed a few of his stunts for us in assembly. He spoke to us about overcoming challenges, not giving up and setting ourselves goals to achieve in life. He also explained the phrase ‘practice makes perfect’. He is planning to work with the different classes for the rest of the day.
Poet, Bernie Howley visited our school today and worked with all of us on performance poetry. We practised performing ‘My Tooth Is Loose’.
